The Lifetrons Slinky Scale measures body composition based on human physiology. Muscles, blood vessels, and bones are body tissue, which contain high water content and conduct electricity easily. Body fat is tissue that stores little water and, therefore, has little electric conductivity. This electric conductivity is also known as “impedance.” This monitor uses the Bioelectric Impedance (BI) method, which sends a low-level electrical current through your body to determine the amount of water in each tissue. Along with your height, weight, age, and gender information, this monitor determines your body composition.
